How the Tile Calculator Works
Enter your floor's length and width in feet, pick a finish, thickness, and colour — the calculator converts your area into exact tile count (each EZ Tile is 500×500mm ≈ 2.69 sq.ft), adds a 5% cutting and wastage allowance, and prices it live from our current rates. Add the tiles straight to cart, or send the estimate to our team on WhatsApp for a formal GST quotation.
Which Tile Should You Choose?
EZ Disc (Coin): raised circular studs — the classic anti-slip pattern for walkways, garages, and high-traffic commercial floors. EZ Diamond: diamond-plate texture with maximum load-bearing toughness — the pick for factories, warehouses, and workshop bays. EZ Grain: a refined etched texture — ideal for gyms, offices, and design-led spaces. All three come in 7mm and 10mm and six colours. Not sure? See recommendations by industry below or ask our team.
7mm or 10mm?
7mm suits offices, retail, classrooms, cardio zones, and general foot traffic. 10mm is built for free-weight gym areas, machinery, pallet-truck routes, and vehicle traffic. Many projects mix both — heavier spec only where the abuse happens — which is exactly the kind of zoning our team helps with on a WhatsApp quote.
Calculator FAQs
How many EZ Tiles do I need per square foot?
One EZ Tile covers about 2.69 sq.ft (500×500mm). Roughly 37–38 tiles cover 100 sq.ft, plus a 5% allowance for cuts along walls.
Why add 5% wastage?
Edge rows almost always need cutting to fit your walls, and having spare tiles from the same batch means perfect colour match for future repairs.
Is the price shown final?
The calculator uses our live per-tile rates including GST. Bulk orders get volume slabs — send your estimate on WhatsApp and we'll apply the right tier in a formal quotation.
Can I calculate for multiple colours or zones?
Yes — use the EZ Floor Designer to paint your layout tile by tile and get per-colour counts automatically.
